Sun. 9/7 - update

I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join us in our struggle by praying to God for (Caed). (Romans 15:30)

Today was a good day. The Lord knew we desperately needed the prayers and support from our church family before we head out in the morning. They had a special prayer time specifically for Caed in the service. It was amazing....God was there! Thank you SO MUCH our FBC family for all the prayers, hugs, words of encouragement, and financial support! You truly overwhelmed us and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We feel so humbled to have the many prayer warriors that are interceding on our behalf. We could NOT make it through this without you!! Thank you!

We also want to thank Rhea Mills Baptist Church and those who had a part of the candle fundraiser. The Lord continues to bless us over and abundantly not just from our own church, but simply the body of Christ!! Thank you especially Christy and Kim for coordinating the entire effort. I am blessed to call you "friends."

A prayer that I have been hearing a lot lately and one that we have been praying ourselves is for the Lord to go before us and prepare people there in NE for us to come in contact with. Well, just as I was typing this blog, I got a call (from a "stranger") that lives near Omaha. Her daughter goes to church at FBC Lubbock. Anyway, she is planning on meeting us at the airport when we arrive. Isn't God good?? I believe God answers our prayers as soon as we pray them. However, He will not reveal to us "the answer" until His timing is perfect. Thank you God that you did not wait with this particular request. Already, even before we have stepped foot on Nebraska soil, He has begun placing people in our lives that I know will offer such great support and encouragement for us there. Thank you Carol for your gracious heart (and also those in your S.S. class!).

Our flight leaves at 12:45 tomorrow. We should arrive in Omaha at 5:00. The high is supposed to only be 59! Yikes. A little different from the 90's we've been used to. I better re-check our suitcases!!

Reagan and Caed had lots of fun playing with
their friends again in the cul d'sac!

Helping with "dinner"...........
We don't have too many groceries
here in the house, but we got
creative. (kinda like camping...ha!)

He sure has missed his drums!
(Mommy & Daddy's ears however
have not...) Just kidding. Never
heard a sweeter sound. There were
many, many days up in the hospital
I would have done anything to hear
the banging of these drums!!!!!

God does answer prayers! He is mighty and true.

Lord, I lift Lori, Todd and the kids up to you, especially Caed. Keep them safe as they travel. Lord, I pray that you will give the doctors knowledge and wisdom to help this sweet little boy.
Father, I also want to thank you for the people that u have already placed in Nebraska to help and be there for Lori. U are truly a Wonderful God. We all thank you for Lori and her family. Please keep them safe. We Love you Father. We ask this your Holy, Precious, Loving Name. AMEN.

Lori, we love you and you continue to be in my prayers.

What a loving God we have...not only is it so affirming that He has already had someone from NE contact you, but it is affirming to all of us who have read about it. It is a reminder that our God cares about us in all details.

Lord, we pray you will use this experience to touch many people - those who already are praying and many new people who will just now learn about Caed.

Lord, please bless all Caed's family as they lean on You for support and guidance during this time.

Our prayers are with each of you and with all of the doctors, nurses and other hospital staff that you will be working with while in NE.
