Wed. 4/2 - update

When I got back to the hospital last night, things continued to be bad. All night he was either throwing up or having diarrhea at least every 30 minutes. He would sleep maybe 15-20 minutes and then start crying. I began to get pretty worried after several hours of this. Finally, his nurse gave him some med to help relax him and make him sleep. He definitely needed it. We slept 2 hours and then it started up again. At about 8:00 this morning, he got sick again and that was the last time all day! You could tell he felt so much better. We laughed and played and he even wanted to go for a "walk." (you know he's feeling good when he doesn't want the wagon) We walked down to the coke machine to get another PowerAde, and then he wanted to go outside. It was still pretty chilly then, so we just stepped out for a few minutes. The remainder of the day was so good! When the drs. came in this morning, they wanted to run some tests to make sure it wasn't just some virus he caught while here. (I pray it was just a stomach bug and not related to his problem). This afternoon I was eating a granola bar and all of a sudden he reached out his hand and said, "I want some." (if he ever eats anything, it's always forced, so this was great to hear!) I broke off maybe 1/4 of it and he ate it no problem. Then later he wanted some Fruit Loops. (ate maybe 6-7 of those) Later on I asked him if he wanted a bite of banana (or something), and he said, "No, I'll just wait for my pizza!" I was shocked. So....I called up Pizza Hut (his favorite) and we had us a "Pizza Party" tonight. I cut him a very small slice and then broke it up into maybe 15 bite size pieces. We thought he might just eat a couple at most. Nope! He cleaned his plate!!! Praise God!! This was a HUGE milestone for Caed. Then the question became: would he be able to keep it down? So far, as I write this, it's been about 4 hours! Such a praise!!! When the night nurse was checking Caed's vitals, she looked at me and said, "His bowels sound great!" Such a simple statement, and she probably had no clue how powerful those 4 little words were to me. I'm not saying that Caed's body is back to normal by any means; however, I am so encouraged with these few little (huge to us!) steps of progress. We pray for more to come............

Lori:
How exciting! The spirit of the Lord was jumping big in me!

I was so encouraged to see Todd tonight and the word he presented to the youth was powerful.

What a blessing to see what the power of commited prayer 24/7 did in just one week. Don't we wish we could stay in that place of unceasing prayer with our Father!! It has changed my heart. What a work God has done in our family as well.

We are praising and rejoicing!!

Will be back at 2:00 am. Keri said Addie wondered where we were this morning. We were so tired but now are revived again to keep going!

Love ya,
Nancy and Matt

Our gracious Lord, we are so in awe of your power. You are our creator and have destined our path. You are glorious as you have revealed yourself to us this week.

We gave our hearts to you in earnest for little Caed. We prayed in faith without doubting. Not only did you do a miraculous work in Caed but you moved in the hearts of your people. Selah.

The dross was brought to the surface and underneath all that stuff, as it erupted, your purity was a bright light that had been dulled and buried so deep, we didn't know the cleansing would a consuming fire that brought forth a release of refreshing.

Thank you for your touch as we believed all things were possible in you. We came before your throne with this heavy burden and you judged us not for our sins but lifted us up to be healed from within to have new life in you as well as healing for Caed.

Jesus you are our righteousness and deliverer. You said in your word, whoever would come in your name would be delivered. Thank you for revealing your word in us. More of you and less of me, Jesus.

Bright and morning son! We sing of your beauty and love. We lift our hands in adoration and praise to your holy name! We worship the King! Holy, Holy, is our God. Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD! Bruce and I had tears as we read the good day that Caed had. We know that God has all of you in His hands and He is working through this to bring Glory to Him name. Keep clinging to Him, as I know you are, as He continues to unfold His plan and fills you with His grace.

Our love and prayers,
Aunt Pat and Uncle Bruce
