Sat. 4/5 - update

Today began rough and ended rough....but the middle was oh so sweet! Caed got sick several times this morning, but by noon, things turned around big time. Uncle Scott came dressed up to surprise Caed. At first he didn't know who it was, but it still made him smile. We went for a wagon ride, and then Caed got out and raced Scott down the hall. You can guess who won! After that, he played bubbles and just overall talked and laughed like normal. Caed also had another special visitor (someone we had never met). His name was Colby and his family live in Celina and go to our church. He is going to Tech here and came by to see Caed. He gave him a newspaper filled with signatures of Tech football players! I know Caed can't fully appreciate it right now, but someday he will. (Todd and I were very impressed). One of the players signed it and wrote, "I'm praying for you." It's truly amazing how MANY people are doing just that! After Caed's nap, I heard him ask for more pizza!! Of course I jumped up and ran to the frig to heat some up. This time he didn't want me to cut it. He ate about 3/4 a slice!!! Then a little later, Daddy and Reagan came up with our favorite.....Bahama Bucks!! (shaved ice) THEN...we had even more special visitors. (Grandaddy, Nana, Caleb, Grammy, Scott and Kelly) The whole time Caed was in a good mood and smiled and laughed and enjoyed this fun time with family. Reagan got up in his bed with him and they watched "Alvin and the Chipmunks." They laughed and had a good time. We then decided to go for a walk (since he was feeling ok). Caed wanted his tennis shoes this time. We walked all around and even went outside. After he had done that awhile, he wanted his wagon. I know he was getting tired. This was the longest we have seen Caed be "normal" this whole month. It just brightened up the room and made every one's day! Finally, a few hours ago, he began getting sick again. He fell off to sleep pretty easily...he had a full day! Tomorrow the GI dr. wants to raise his feeding tube amt. back up to 20. I am very worried about it. The last 2 times we've done that, it has made him extremely sick!! Please pray that he can have another "feel good" day tomorrow, and that his body will react positively to the feeding change.

Thank you God for today!! Thank you for bringing JOY to Caed. His smiles were like medicine to our wounded souls. We continue to praise you for your work in our lives through this storm. You have been there from the start...and we know you will be there in the end. Thank you for fully knowing how much we can bear, and giving us glimpses of hope through days like today.
You make ALL things GLORIOUS!!!

Checking in @ 2:00 am and home at last.

What beautiful children!

Thank you Lori for the pictures. It makes our prayers become real to see how God intimately answers when we call.

What a blessing of encouragement to all of us who love and care for each of you! God uses everything to glorify Him! We are so thankful to be a part of your lives to lift Caed up in prayer.

It has been miraculous and life changing for all of us who have joined to pray. From every age, young to old. What a wonderful God who touches all of us with his love.

So now Lord, we are ready to complete the task you have given us. We speak now giant steps of healing for Caed. We ask there be no adverse reaction to the food he was able to eat today. Lord, we speak multiplied increase for his sleep tonight. Caed exerted a lot of energy today. We thank you in advance for rest and a balance to his system.

We ask for a release from the hospital now and freedom to return home to heal. Thank you Lord. Amen!

God's richest blessings today,
Nancy

P.S. Lord, we need an abundance of money/coins to fill Caed's bank. Fill it up as you are filling Caed with your strength. We give you all praise, glory and honor. Amen!
