Sat. 6/7 - update

Today was a repeat of yesterday. Although not as much vomiting and cramps because I kept him medicated all day. I generally don't like to do that unless absolute necessary because the nausea/vomiting medicine (Zofran) causes him to have bad headaches. You just have to weigh the two: headaches vs. vomiting. After yesterday, I thought a headache might be a nice change. He never went outside. Was in a pretty bad mood all day. Did lots of grunting/yelling.

Our plan was to go to church in the morning. Todd flew in tonight, and it would be the first time our family has been to church together in 4 months! However, we will simply have to play it by ear. Pray he will feel better and we can go!!!

Hi...you don't know me but a friend of mine (Wendy) had a link to your blog on hers so I took a peek. I just wanted to say I am so sorry for what you and your family are going through and will add you to my Bible Study prayer list. I can imagine this is tough and is going to be a life long ordeal for little Caed.
I also wanted to tell you that my mom had to have 8 feet of her small intestines removed several years ago. Her dr did not tell her to have her B vitamin absorption checked every several months. Your small intestines are where your B vits are absorbed so sometimes people who have them removed are deficient their B vits. I am SURE your dr has probably told you this but that little boy is SO precious, I just wanted to make sure you knew.
I hope you don't mind if I check in on you guys every-so-often and keep you guys on our prayer list.
Lots of love and prayer,
Stacie

Lori,

I was listening to this song by Selah the other day and thought of you guys. I hope it brings you some encouragement!

When the valley is deep
When the mountain is steep
When the body is weary
When we stumble and fall

When the choices are hard
When we're battered and scarred
When we've spent our resources
When we've given our all

Chorus:
In Jesus' name, we press on
In Jesus' name, we press on
Dear Lord, with the prize
Clear before our eyes
We find the strength to press on

In Jesus' name, we press on
In Jesus' name, we press on
Dear Lord, with the prize
Clear before our eyes
We find the strength to press on
To press on

What great truth in those lyrics!!

Philipians 4:8 "Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about these things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about these things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned from me and heard from me and and saw me doing, and the God of peace will be with you."

We put Caed's postcard on the fridge to remind us to pray all through the day.

Hugs to you!
Shannon
