Sat. 11/1 - update

Wow! What can we say?........what a game!!!

GO TEXAS TECH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We went to Cordell and Carol's house to watch it. It was so nice to be able to scream and yell without upsetting our close-quarter neighbors here at the Lied! ha!

(thanks Steph for sending this autographed poster. He loves this horse!)

**thank you also for the packages and cards several of you have sent. The kids get so excited when we go pick up our mail and they hand us a box! They have really enjoyed the books, games, etc..... Thank you again for thinking of us and especially for your continued prayers and support for our family!

Today was a difficult day for Todd (particularly) because it is the one year anniversary of his dad's passing. Bob had a heart transplant in '95 and lived 12 more wonderful years. Regardless of how much pain he was in, he always had a smile on his face and encouraged everyone he was around with his wit, humor, and positive outlook. By the way...he would have LOVED tonight's game!!!! We have wondered why the Lord took him home just 4 short months before all this happened to Caed. However, he (more than anyone else) could REALLY empathize with Caed and ALL he had to go through. Sometimes I think the Lord spared him from having to relive so much of this and particularly having to watch his grandson suffer. Even though we all miss him terribly.....we have a peace knowing he is with Jesus today (completely PAIN FREE!) We also have the hope that we will see him again!!!!!! Please just keep Todd, his 2 brothers, and Katie (his mom) in your prayers. Anniversaries like today always bring back lots of memories and emotions.

We will pray... it is so comforting that we will get to see them again! Be with Todd and his brothers and mom. Comfort them like only you can do! Wrap your loving arms around them and help them feel you today! Thank you Lord for parents who know the Lord and that serve Him and show us how to live life. You are very blessed to have such an amazing heritage to pass on. Many do not have that! It is people like you that help show others how to make that happen. Thank you Lord for the Everitt's strong faith and for the Hollingsworth's strong faith. Thank you for the heritage that they are passing on. Thank you that so many are realizing what you do when your family is in crisis, just by watching this precious family "be there for one another". Help us all to be strong when the trials of life happen to all of us! Give Lori and Todd wisdom for today and encouragement. I also pray for healing for Caed! A-men.

While I watched the Texas Tech game, I thought of Caed and all of you. I was rooting for TT too because of y'all!
Praying especially for Todd and his family. It's hard to let our parents go, but precious is the promise that you will all be together again some day. God is so good to us.
Forgot to mention the other day how beautiful Reagan is. The picture of her as Tinkerbell was absolutely gorgeous. You all have the most precious children. Thanks for sharing them with the rest of us.
Showers of His greatest blessings (including Caed's healing) to each of you.
In His love,
Carolyn O'Cain
