-gradually wean 1 hr./month off night feeds (until we get to around 4-5hrs.) Then, we will see how he is doing, and take him off TOTALLY for a few months before ultimately REMOVING THE G-TUBE!!!! (can't believe I'm typing those words.....thank you GOD!) This could happen possibly by summer!

We are thrilled with today's news. NO scope.....and an excellent review from drs!! The main test will be in the morning (small bowel series). The look at his colon yesterday was great! (no issues) However, tomorrow's test will be the biggie. They did tell us that even IF his sm. bowel shows dilated loops.....they will not consider the lengthening surgery right now. He is just doing TOO GOOD to mess with. "If it aint broke....don't fix it!" I am still nervous about tomorrow's testing because it does give a more accurate look at his bowel (and its abnormality). They kept reminding us that Caed had a healthy bowel for 4 yrs. (it is not diseased unlike the majority of short gut kids) Again....ANOTHER praise!

Praise God! What good news today...so very thankful that Caed doesn't have to go through that procedure today. Wish tomorrow's could be cancelled, too, and ya'll could just enjoy the next two days before coming home. Have a great time today looking at pumpkins, seeing animals at the zoo, or whatever fun times you do. Will be praying for another excellent report tomorrow....God bless our little trooper! God is Good! You do not know me but I just wanted you and your family to know that I am praying for you. This morning I prayed that you would have glowing reports from the doctors and that you would feel God's presence and peace surrounding you. That his peace that passes all understanding would guard your heart and mind......esp. your mind knowing how fear can creep in so easily. Praying for you today and the days ahead. Thank you Jesus. How great thou art!!! It is so great that we have his assurance that he will do great things if we just have total faith in him. Through Caed's problems we have seen him do great and mighty works and he has heard our prayers.
