Our yearly tradition

Each summer when we come to Lubbock to visit family, we make it a priority to head out to Joyland. It's funny to look back at the pictures from 2002....and on....and see the changes (not in the park, mind you.....but the kids!) And also neat to see how each year they seem to get braver and braver, and try new rides that they would not DREAM of getting on the previous year.

Tonight was also another instance when memories of this past year (with Caed) flooded my soul. Last summer (July/August) is when we began noticing the biggest improvements in Caed's health. Visions of him at Joyland last year compared to THIS year was amazing!!! Last year, he was losing so much weight and we still had to carry around "the blue bags" everywhere we went (for when he got sick). Other than the denial of cotton candy tonight (which the other kids were able to have), he fit in like all the rest. It was awesome!

What wonderful memories you are creating this year. The JOY of being at Joyland with all the family and seeing the kids having such a great time.PTL.The birthday pics remind me of when you moved to Edna with only Reagan. How your family has grown since then in so many ways.
May the Lord continue to keep you all in his care and keep the blogs coming.

Oh the sweet rage of jealousy that floods these veins. How I wish I had been invited to JoyLand. **tear**
